Resolution 503/2016 issued by the Tax Administration of the City of Buenos Aires (“AGIP”) set the “AGIP Electronic Audit” procedure by virtue of which the taxpayers of the City of Buenos Aires could be subject to fiscal controls by electronic means.

Below we highlighted the most relevant aspect of the new regime:

• The Electronic Audit will be notified to the taxpayers in their fiscal domicile.
• The taxpayers must response an electronic form through the AGIP’s web site (www.agip.gob.ar) within a 10-business-day term.
• The lack of response within the abovementioned term will be considered to be an infraction of the taxpayers’ formal obligations, being allowed the AGIP to extend the charges and/or characterize the taxpayer as high-risk taxpayer.
• When responding the notification, the taxpayer could recognize in total or part the fiscal assessment, or set their disagreement with it, submitting all the relevant documents for that purpose. Please note that the information submitted is considered a sworn statement.
• The provisions set by Resolution 503/2016 will entry into force on November 7, 2016.
