Phillip Smith, who leads the Asia Pacific desk at Beretta Godoy, was invited to speak at the Consejo Argentino para las Relaciones Internacionales (CARI) two-day conference – Jornadas sobre Australasia y Argentina, held on September 27 – 28.

Phillip was on a panel which considered Cooperation on Mining and Nuclear Development, together with representatives from INVAP and Troy Resources. He discussed common issues and opportunities for mutual benefit in mining in Australia and Argentina.

Adalberto Rodriguez Giavarini, President of CARI, Patricia Holmes, Australian Ambassador and Daryll Dunn, New Zeland Ambassador delivered the opening speeches. Argentine ambassadors to Australia and New Zealand also attended the conference. The participants had a good opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences to bring Argentina closer to Australia and New Zealand on multiple levels.
