2013
In the last 10 years Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Argentina have moved towards having more planned economies. This, in turn, has led to an interventionist approach, which has involved the expropriation of assets.
Beretta Godoy brought together Latin American experts from Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela to consider the legal framework for expropriating assets and the actual circumstances in which expropriations have typically occurred, and to offer an insight into the present situation of each jurisdiction.
The webinar was organized by Beretta Godoy (Argentina), with the participation of Guevara & Gutierrez (Bolivia), Perez Bustamante & Posse (Ecuador) and Norton Rose Fulbright (Venezuela).
The webinar was broadcasted live on November 21, 2013. A recorded version of the session is available upon request to godoy@berettagodoy.com
